Djibouti - IGAD: IGAD Regional Meeting on Sustainable Solutions for Somali Refugees Held

A high-level meeting between IGAD member countries and international organizations ended this morning at Djibouti Palace Kempinski. Organized by the Executive Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Agency for Development, this meeting focuses on the adoption of a roadmap and action plan on durable solutions for Somali refugees, in line with the commitments and the Declaration of Heads of State of the IGAD taken at the Nairobi Summit in March 2017. Interior Minister Hassan Omar Mohamed presided over a graduation ceremony at the police academy "Idriss Farah Abaneh" in Nagad on Thursday, May 8, 2017, which has just crowned a technical and Tactic for some 169 Somali police officers. Upon his arrival at the IFA Academy, the Minister was welcomed by the Director General of the National Police, Colonel Abdillahi Abdi alongside his Somali and Italian peers, General Abdoulhakim Daher and General Tulio Dusette.
