Indeed, beyond the permanent exchanges between the two leaders of the two countries, the relations marked by a deep economic integration and exceptional and efficient cooperation, especially on the stability and security issues of the region, the message contained a strong appeasement content.
In an effort to alleviate concerns about recent events in the Amhara region, northwest of the brotherly country, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia dispatched his Minister of Finance, Mr. Ahmed Shide, to reassure the Djiboutian Head of State and to report to him on the full restoration of security and stability throughout the Ethiopian territory.
Those responsible for these tragic events must be brought to justice.
The meeting was attended by Djiboutian Foreign Minister Mahmoud Ali Youssouf and the Ambassador of the Democratic and Federal Republic of Ethiopia to the Republic of Djibouti, Abdoulaziz Mohamed Ibrahim.
